Tuesday my son and his wife took me shopping in Winston Salem , N. C.
here is the results of my trip.
Very productive
Ending the trip was a visit to Carrabbas where I could not eat all my Calamari.
It was delicious.

Looks like a wonderful day! I know that yarn and books will be put to good use!
ReplyDeleteElsie,

Hey, Winston Salem is the next town over from where I live. Small world!! Let me know and I could meet you there sometime. There is a knit shop there called Knit Picky that I want to go to. I get their emails each week and they have some amazing classes and yarn. The store is in an old house. I want to go over and check it out. You got some great yarn, so you will be busy during these cold winter days. I just bought some cotton yarn on sale at Michael's last week to make knitted dishcloths. I make those all the time to give for gifts. Quick and easy!! I want to try my hand at some knitted socks. I made our Christmas stockings many years ago, but have never made socks to wear. Happy New Year!!! Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteWish I lived a little closer...I'd love to learn to knit : ) Have fun with your projects!
ReplyDeleteWow Sweetie!! Can't wait to see what you do with that yarn. Michael's in Waynesboro had yarn, but nothing really caught my eye. I think I was just so tired with the cold already on the way--and it was so COLD! I got a bunch of magazines
ReplyDeleteHope your Christmas and New Year's were wonderful, my friend!
Happy New Year Elsie! Looks like you have your job cut out for you with all that yarn you bought. I'm knitting a scarf for my daughter right now. I haven't knitted in awhile so I'm having fun. God bless
ReplyDeleteWe have a Carrabbas too and I've never been! I saw some Simply Soft yarn in your picture - that's on my list to get before the weekend to start a baby blanket for a young gal I work with. Nothing much beats the Simply Soft for baby blankets - in my opinion. :)
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog and the blessings you bring.
Nice yarn, wonderful books, good food. Looks like you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it is going to be a fun filled year for you. Just checking in on everyone for delurking week and leaving notes.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day, and I can see why you couldn't eat everything with such a huge serving!
ReplyDeletePopping in today from Sandy's Space to check on you and leave you a (((HUG))

Curious to see what you think of the stretch sock yarn by Patons. I made a pair of socks from it and think they are a bit coarse. It is really fun to be able to shop that way isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBeen missing you, hope all is well.
Hi Elsie...I hadn't seen you around lately and just thought I'd stop in and say hello. Hope all is well and you're staying warm!
ReplyDeleteAre you well? You have not posted for a while.
