1 Thessalonians 5 ;18. In every thing give thanks : for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you

 This scripture used to baffle me.
I thought how can I give thanks for trouble and things that are going wrong in my life.
  But the Lord showed me that when you are having a hard time and things are going wrong , give thanks to God

a.   because he is walking with you ,
b .  he is your counselor,
c.  because he knows what to do and he is your father
d.. he loves you even if the trouble is something you brought on your self.
e.  he promised to help and show you the way to handle the situation

Below Jesus shows what giving thanks does so have faith and trust him today.

Matthew 15
King James Bible

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. 33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.

   ------------------------------------------O------------------------------------------
 I see here people who loved God and loved being with him.
They were hungry for things that would bring peace to their minds. Maybe they didn't realize it in this way ; Maybe they just realized when they were with Jesus they felt so much better . Why else would they have followed him for 3 days..
     We are so busy seeking for  "things or stuff" that most people don't realize they are trying to fill a void or an emptiness in their lives/heart. We certainly will not keep going and let our stomachs do without .They would even forget about their belly's to spend time with their savior.
 What a people! Do you know any like them today.
      What I see in this scripture is that if what you have isn't enough for your need ( not your want ) that in giving thanks to God the father for what you have it will stretch it to meet your needs with left overs.

.

if you are a follower of God... ( following Gods way , not the worlds ). you will be where he can see your need

.He sees you following him .

He sees you reading your bible ( listening to him )

He hears you talking . Praying

He sees your faith and trust in him.

He knows your hunger : spiritual and spiritual

His example was ;

Give thanks to God for the little you have . 7 loaves and a few fish

Did not Jesus our redeemer set the example for us to follow .

Do you believe God is the same today as he was then.
 He will hear your thanks and stretch what you have to meet your need.

Whether you have a need or have all and more than you need
Give thanks today

Count your blessings and you might just be surprised how much over your needs you have.

God has been so good to me.

He loved me and he saved me

He has guided me each day and been right here with me since my husband died.

I didn't know if I would make it on my own ; after 28 months I can say;

He has went before me each time I have a decision to make, small or big.

He has surprised me so many times , yet I still am surprised when I realize its him who is helping me.I have much to give thanks for today.
                                      Here is one things of many.

                         -------------------0------------------------
                                          Thank you Lord
                          I opened my mouth & told the Lord, not man.
I don't know about your electric bill lately but mine had went up ,and up .I knew I was not using any more than I ever had.

Many people were calling them, complaining to no avail. I hate controversy

*********************** 0******************************

Here is what I did.

I got my bottle of anointing oil ( you can buy at the Christian book store ) and went out side to my electric meter.
Everything I own , I give back to the Lord by anointing & praying over  it .
I rubbed the oil over it and I talked to God about it. I told him he knew how much I was using. How I was careful to cut off lights when I came out of a room and tried not to be wasteful in everything.
I told him I was giving this problem to him. ....I was his child and I would be honest and pay any bill I made. If he thought this was my rightful amount then I knew he's help me be able to pay it. He wants his children to be honest.

I went back inside and forgot all about it.

I have had 2 bills since that prayer :

the bill before I prayed was $100.and some odd cents

The next bill was  $88.  some  Odd cents

my last bill was   $66.  some odd cents

I give thanks to God. He did this , not me

 My computer is going to be in the shop for a few days .
I will miss you all but I will be back.
 Have a wonderful week.
   I went to a Christian Women's Breakfast in N.C. with a few wonderful friend's and was sooo blessed.
 There is nothing like fellowship with other's who love the Lord. There was about 4 or 5 denominations there and such a sweet spirit in all.
  of course we eat too much and had Pumpkin pancakes.. Awesome....with cool whip /chocolate syrup or regular maple syrup/ spices to sprinkle over them and chopped nuts /brown sugar.
http://www.cooks.com/rec/search?q=Pumpkin+pancakes
 Plus breakfast casseroles and bowls of fresh fruit. Hot cider /orange juice  and coffee to drink.
   Then we played bingo, picking on the lady calling out the numbers. She was such a good sport.
 Guess who won a gift at bingo ???

                            ME

                                          Look and see my blessing ladies... Smile.

                                                    God is good ...so good to me.

               See you all in a few days.

You can be a Ministering Spirit

 There is an abused Women and children's home about 30 minutes from me that can house up to 20 people.  As I was knitting my brown pair of socks ,, these thought came to  me                                                                              .......................................................................................

                  There are those who have had to leave home with only the clothes on their backs.. You can do something to help them .No matter how small it seems to you , you can do it .
               The winters are cold here and you can help them be a little warmer than they would be by using your skills that I have given you.
                       I knew the Lord was talking to me & I knew what he wanted me to do.The choice was mine. .

--------------------------------------------O--------------------------------------

Psalm 32;8
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

--------------------------------------------O--------------------------------------------

       Have you ever been just walking along in life, doing your own thing and suddenly  : Like being in class as a youth in school, you are being called on .

    I have always thought this scripture was for me in my times of needs;I know it is a familiar one to most all of us.
____

------------------------------o--------------------------------------

     Psalm 46; 1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

 God uses people to get his work done and it is his will that all have what they need.
 So I have laid aside all my other needle work and here is what I am doing.
I am not telling you this to get praises , I will remain anonymous to the home people.

I am crocheting scarves to keep them a little warmer. If their coats are thin then this will help add a little warmth to their body.
It is no glory to me that I am doing this. I am just being obedient to my Lord ..who is love.
  You see my Lord Jesus cares about everyone and wants to help us in our times of need.
1John :17

 ``````
But who so hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his  bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
                                                ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
``````If I can help those who are suffering in a little way then my life has not been wasted.God only asked us to give from what we already have.

I challenge each of you who reads my blog to do something to help someone with a need  along life's way this month or this winter.

You may not have much -----but if you can give ----a bowl of food or a pair of socks or what ever the Lord lays on your heart when he shows you someone with a need , then go for it.

The reward is far greater than the deed deems

We are needed to help someone .it is so good to be needed . I wish there was no suffering in this world but at least I can do my little to help those in need.
 I will pray God to put angels round about each women who wears one of these scarves and never let her be mistreated ever again as long as she lives.

Hebrews 1:
  • 13.
  • But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies make thy footstool ?
  • 14.
  • Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

I added 1/8 cup of sugar to make it just a tad sweeter and did not add raisins or nuts.

Hello I am Back

I am back and I can't get into a notion to blog. Forgive me dear friends.
   The trip was good but since it was the first time at these places without my husband I did not ( was not able ) to fully give myself to the visit. That is the only way I know to explain it.
 I had some yard work to do when I got home.
Dead flowers from the freeze since I left.
If I left them they would only be a means to creatures gaining better access to my living room windows in the cold and blurring up my view.
 Been so much to do after unpacking and storing away luggage .
Had to get a new perm and hair cut .
Tonight I had Officers training for Virginia. voting November 3.
Friday go to granddaughters costume judging at her school at 9 and then party at 2.
 So I will post a few pictures here from my trip. I really didn't take many.Somehow I just didn't thnik about it.
The Pictures will speak for them selves.

My brother picking up Persimmons.
 the weather was warm and about like here in Virginia ,Tennessee rained a lot.
Kentucky was also like here but more hilly than Indiana. I was surprised to see flatland in Indiana
Henya thank you for asking after me. I am ok.
Thanks to all dear blog friends who come to visit. I will be back I am checking on you even if I don't comment right now.
 God has been good to me  and has helped me to take another step by my self with him by my side. I need to ponder a few things.

I want to share today's devotional by  One of my favorite Tv preachers.
It says it all.
Be blessed.

The Great Escape
by: Dr. David Jeremiah

Earlier this year, an earthquake, registering a massive 7.9 on the Richter scale, leveled the city of Gujarat in India. The death toll has been estimated as high as 50,000 lives. How do you think the people in Gujarat would have prepared had they known the earthquake was coming? They probably would have done everything in their power to escape the coming destruction. But there was no warning or chance to escape.
There is an event on humanity's horizon that will eclipse every natural disaster in history. During a period called the Great Tribulation, the world will experience pain and devastation like never before. But there is an escape route available to every person. Jesus is coming back to rescue the Church in an event known as the Rapture. Will you be a part of that Great Escape? If so, how many people will also make the Great Escape because of your witness?
SECURE YOUR ESCAPE ROUTE
If you knew that at any moment-even as you're reading this sentence-the Lord Jesus would step through the clouds, would you be ready? In that twinkling of an eye, there will be no time to look for alternate escape routes. Have you secured your escape route by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? There will be no time for last minute changes the day of Christ's return.
SHARE THE ESCAPE ROUTE
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we should wait passively for Christ's return. This is a time to get busy, building the Kingdom of God and evangelizing the lost. While it is still day, here are a few things we can do to share the escape route with others.
Pray for the lost. Why not make it a daily habit to pray for the unsaved people in your life? Start each day by praying, "Lord, if you bring someone across my path today who needs You, help me to sense it, and help me to be bold enough to tell them about You."
Share the Gospel. According to the Bible, it is every believer's privilege and responsibility to share the Gospel. If we understand what lies ahead for those who do not know Christ, there will be a sense of urgency in our witness.
Invite someone to church. Pick up the telephone and invite someone to church or a small group Bible study. Some people will never walk through the doors of a church unless invited by a friend.
Ask questions. Did you know that you could open people's hearts to spiritual matters by asking questions? We can learn a lot about a person's spiritual condition simply by listening to their responses.
Discuss current events. Have you ever thought of using current events as a springboard to talk about Bible prophecy and the coming of Jesus Christ? By asking your friends or co-workers about their feelings concerning today's news, you can learn volumes about where they stand with God.
Live as a credible witness., If our actions don't line up with the message we're proclaiming, we risk losing our credibility. When our lives are filled with peace, faith and joy, people will want to know what we have.
THE NIGHT COMETH
The hands of time are moving steadily to the moment when the night cometh. Are you working for your Lord while it is day, or are you simply waiting to be rescued? The objective for Christians is not only to be a part of the Great Escape, but to take as many people with us as we can.
You may not be able to predict the time of a tornado, earthquake or the Lord's return. But you can know for a fact that He is coming back. Work today to share the escape route of God's grace with others, before the night cometh.
